As a Set-Up crew leader, you will supervise and provide effective leadership for crews, particularly during set-up and conversion activities within the SCC facility. They supervise both Set-up Leads and other non-supervisory operations staff who perform event set-up, maintenance, and related functions to ensure the facility's proper presentation to clients and staff. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor and Operations Manager, they work closely with Event Services and Food Services to coordinate set-up needs. They work with custodial crew chiefs to address regular and special janitorial maintenance of the facility. performs set-up functions while monitoring progress, safety, completeness, and cleaning/disinfection of the sets.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk; use arms and hands to reach, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. With non-motorized or motorized assistance, the employee frequently moves up to 100 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to elevated surfaces such as risers; moving objects such as forklifts; fumes; toxic or caustic chemicals commonly used in cleaning materials; outside weather conditions; and limited risk of electrical shock from using electrical equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; however, for limited periods of time or in specific locations, the noise level may be loud. The employee must be able to work shifts that may be during the day, night, weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.
