Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of cafeteria/food service experience.
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prepares quantities of food according to the menu and number of students/employees.
• Sets up and arranges food items on serving lines as directed by the Senior Cook.
• Assists in serving meals.
• Adheres to state guidelines on food safety and proper handling; cleans assigned areas.
• Maintains daily production sheets and inventory control.
• Monitors inventory and requests additional food as necessary.
• Supervises and guides culinary arts/work-based learning students.
• Maintains HACCP temperature records and proper food storage.
• Reports unsafe or unsanitary conditions in kitchen/dining areas.
