Job summary

Insight in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Services Technician - W2 to perform configuration, modification, repair, testing and servicing on IT devices, including hardware, peripherals and software. This onsite role is at a Fortune 500 Solutions Integrator and offers opportunities for growth and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2 years related experience; PC, messaging and server software experience preferred.
• LAN/WAN knowledge and ability to automate tasks with basic scripting is a plus.
• Extensive Windows OS knowledge and vendor diagnostics with imaging tools (Ghost/MDT/SCCM).
• Minimum 1 year hardware troubleshooting including laptops and desktops for Tier One vendors.

This role is fully onsite in our Fort Worth, TX office.

As a Services Technician - W2 with Insight, you will perform configuration, modification, repair, testing and/or servicing on IT devices, including, but not limited to: hardware and peripherals and software configuration.

We are looking for a Services Technician - W2 with:

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year College or university or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.PC’s,messagingand server software applications experiencerequired. LAN/WAN, and ability to automate tasks using basic scriptingtechniquesa plus.


• Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, vendor diagnostics, imaging software such as Ghost, MDT, or SCCM.


• Minimum of one year hardware troubleshooting experience, which needs to include laptops anddesktopfor Tier One vendors.


• Should also be familiar with vendor web sitesin order tofind hardware updates, driver updates, and engineering changes) as well as on multiple Tier One products (IBM, Compaq, HP, Toshiba).
