Job summary

OceanaGold's Haile Gold Mine in South Carolina is seeking a motivated team member for basic upkeep of the mine. Responsibilities include transferring underground toilets, cleaning debris, and cleaning surface areas, with on-the-job training and no prior experience required.

Qualified applicants should hold a valid driver's license and be able to work in both office and mining environments, including walking uneven terrain and lifting up to 50 lbs; PPE is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a straight shift vehicle and pull a small trailer throughout the mine.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in both office and operational mining environments.
• Ability to regularly access active mining and processing areas to support operational teams.
• Ability to walk on uneven terrain, climb stairs and access elevated work areas as required.
• Ability to wear and use mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Clean up trash and other debris from the lay downs and work areas as needed.
• Basic attention to the clean-up of the surface areas such as gardens, boot wash and sidewalks.
• Wash and clean the underground light vehicles.

Job Description

The role is to perform basic upkeep of the mine such as cleaning up trash and debris from the lay downs and transferring underground toilets to and from the underground work areas.

1. Category 1

• Transfer UG toilets to and from the surface area to the underground work areas

2. Category 2

• Clean up trash and other debris from the lay downs and work areas as needed

3 Category 3

• Basic attention to the clean-up of the surface areas such as gardens, boot wash and sidewalks

4. Category 4
