Job Summary

The Services Solution Architect for VDI and End User Compute (EUC) shapes, scopes, and helps close services opportunities across virtual desktops, application delivery, and endpoints. The goal is a digital workspace that works for customers and their people.

This role combines the technical depth of a WWT Domain Architect with ownership of the full services solution. That means leading professional service customer discussions, building detailed work breakdown structures and bottom‑up labor estimates, developing services pricing, and writing customer‑ready Statements of Work. They bring deep knowledge of virtual desktop platforms, application delivery, endpoint management, identity, and the infrastructure beneath them. They hold credible conversations with everyone from engineers to executives.

SSAs work closely with sales, pre‑sales, delivery, engineering, and integration partners to scope services that can be delivered as sold. They use AI tools to move quickly from first conversation to finished SOW. Through customer and sales presentations, they reduce solution risk, show the value of WWT services, and strengthen client relationships. Up to 25% travel

Key Responsibilities:
  • Run technical discovery on user personas, applications and dependencies, current platforms and endpoints, infrastructure readiness, concurrency, identity, security, compliance, and success measures
  • Own detailed work breakdown structures and bottom‑up labor estimates by user persona, platform, migration wave, and resource role. Cover assessment and design, platform build, image, profile, and application work, endpoint deployment, pilots and testing, cutover and hypercare, knowledge transfer, project management, and Day 2 transition. Turn estimates into pricing using WWT estimating tools, labor rates, partner costs, expenses, and margin targets. Validate with delivery leaders and submit through WWT’s pricing approval process
  • Independently write complete, customer‑ready SOWs covering scope, deliverables, milestones, assumptions, exclusions, customer responsibilities, and acceptance criteria for WWT, partner, and blended delivery models. Carry them through governance and quoting review, and defend the scope and estimate to sales, customers, and delivery
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and technical authority for customers, turning business requirements into defined scope, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and a delivery approach
  • Position and tailor WWT productized solutions and service catalog offerings, and design custom solutions that meet customer needs and WWT delivery standards where existing offerings do not fit
  • Apply AI tools to speed up discovery summaries, solution outlines, estimates, SOW drafts, and customer materials, and validate every output for accuracy, scope, and risk before it reaches a customer
  • Collaborate closely with WWT account teams and sales to qualify opportunities, shape strategy, and move deals forward
  • Partner with delivery leaders, project managers, and engineers so that what WWT sells is what WWT can deliver, and stay engaged through handoff and project kickoff
  • Bring in networking, security, cloud, collaboration, and other WWT practices, along with technology partners and OEMs, to deliver complete end‑to‑end solutions
  • Present solution proposals, workshops, and executive briefings to customers and sales teams, from IT teams to executives
  • Lead the development of VDI and EUC services offerings, including reference architectures, scoping guides, estimating tools, productized solutions, migration models, and Day 2 operations. Support thought leadership in Digital Workspace services
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience, required.
  • 7 or more years of experience in IT infrastructure or end user computing, including at least 4 years designing and delivering VDI, application virtualization, or EUC solutions at enterprise scale
  • Proven track record of independently owning multiple services opportunities, from discovery through detailed estimates, proposals, and SOW approval, for enterprise VDI, DaaS, or EUC engagements
  • Demonstrated domain architect‑level technical expertise in at least two of the following: Citrix, Omnissa (VMware) Horizon, and Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop or Windows 365, with working knowledge of the others
  • Experience in a services role such as pre‑sales solutioning, consulting, professional services, or delivery architecture
  • Strong grasp of the infrastructure beneath the desktop, including hypervisors and hyperconverged platforms, storage, networking, gateways and load balancing, identity, and security
  • Familiarity with image and profile management, application packaging, GPU workloads, digital employee experience tools such as ControlUp, Nexthink, and Lakeside, and Day 2 managed service models
  • Working knowledge of services pricing, including labor‑based pricing, fixed fee versus time and materials, margin, and risk contingency. Must be able to defend an estimate to sales and delivery leaders
  • Ability to ask the right questions to understand the business problem, and to explain complex solutions simply to technical and business audiences
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills, with a track record of building trusted relationships with sales, delivery, and engineering teams
  • Skilled at supporting several opportunities at once in a fast‑paced and deadline‑driven environment
  • Advanced Excel, including building or maintaining estimating models, plus proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, and Visio or similar diagramming tools
  • Proficient daily use of AI tools such as Claude and Microsoft Copilot to speed discovery, estimating, and documentation, with the judgment to verify output and use these tools securely
  • Preferred: current certifications from Citrix, Omnissa or VMware, Microsoft, or Nutanix
