SUMMARY
The Services Lead is responsible for leading a team of associates in all areas of refurbishment and services. The Services Lead shall ensure all work performed complies with standard operating procedures, quality standards, and safety policies. The role includes preparing reports, training service center associates in refurbishment, conditioning, and service processes, company guidelines, and assisting with performance evaluations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and perform tasks related to services and refurbishment or conditioning of medical-grade shipping containers.
- Plan and coordinate the work of all services associates, adjusting assignments and schedules to maintain staffing levels and respond to workload fluctuations.
- Provide initial orientation and ongoing training to new and existing services associates, including job-specific training, instructions, guidance, and feedback.
- Complete annual training for facility staff in services and other relevant topics as assigned.
- Review job orders and priorities to meet due dates.
- Utilize manual or electronic inventory systems to locate and record orders and inventory information.
- Interact with cross-functional teams as required.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all services equipment.
- Ensure all services paperwork complies with good documentation practices (GDP).
- Ensure all associates understand and adhere to company ISO, Quality, and Safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Perform warehouse duties, including handling incoming materials, using material handling equipment, and supporting shipment processes.
- Follow safety guidelines outlined in AWAIR and other safety procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s degree in a technical or business field is preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse layout and operation of material handling equipment, including 2-wheeler, lift truck, pallet jack, or forklift.
- Willingness to train and become certified in equipment operation.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents related to the job.
- Decision-making skills for identifying and resolving in-process problems.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
- Effective communication and cooperative interaction with employees at all levels.
- Ability to complete assignments within the specified time frame.
- Willingness to work overtime, including evenings and weekends.
- Experience or understanding of pharmaceutical company requirements is preferred but not mandatory.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Regularly required to perform production and warehouse activities, including standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Ability to work in chilled temperatures from 4°C to -30°C for extended periods if necessary.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
