Job summary

A3 Consulting LLC seeks a seasoned ServiceNow Systems Engineer to manage and optimize a DoD-focused ServiceNow application. You will oversee installation, administration, backup, and recovery, while ensuring RMF compliance and security hardening across the platform.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical solutions, prepare documentation, and support assessments and IV&V testing throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• DoD 8570/8140 certification required.
• 3–5 years of system engineering and administration experience with the ServiceNow platform.
• Experience supporting DoD or federal IT environments.
• Proficiency with the DoD RMF process, assessments, and documentation.
• Experience with RMF tools such as eMASS, Xacta or CSAM.
• Experience with Nessus, Tenable, or Retina scans.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain system sustainment and maintenance documentation (e.g., System Administration Manual, Configuration Management Plan, DR/COOP Plans, Technical Design Documents).
• Support installation, administration, maintenance, backup, and recovery of a ServiceNow-based application.
• Design and implement strategies for system security, monitoring, backup, and recovery.
• Support CCB requirements and processes (documentation, change requests, PO approvals) prior to deployments.
• Support data export and transfer as needed.
• Capture and analyze application performance metrics and recommend improvements to uptime, reliability, and stability.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance processes, technical docs, plans, and reports.
• Support A&A activities under DoD RMF to maintain Authority to Operate.
• Coordinate vulnerability scans, analyze results, and support remediation.
• Support security patching and compliance with policies, directives, and STIGs.
• Ensure compliance with STIGs, OPORDs, IAC, IAVA and other security controls.
• Support self-assessments, scans, and tests during SDLC to ensure security and performance.
