TOMORROW HIRE is seeking a ServiceNow Systems Architect to provide technical leadership, architecture, and oversight for enterprise ServiceNow solutions supporting a government customer. The architect will translate business requirements into scalable designs, guide development teams, manage integrations and releases, and ensure platform reliability, security, and performance.

This role requires on-site collaboration in Washington, DC with a hybrid schedule (2–3 days onsite) and active Secret

Qualifications

  • 5+ years managing a ServiceNow environment.
  • 5+ years leading as technical architect in Agile environments.
  • 2+ years leading design of new products with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience implementing ServiceNow core platform functionality, ITSM, and custom development.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, ITBM, ITOM, and Performance Analytics.
  • Strong collaboration across technical and business teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or related IT field.
  • Active Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring for the ServiceNow team.
  • Create and maintain API and data integration processes between ServiceNow and other enterprise services.
  • Serve as a SME for ServiceNow platform technologies to customers and stakeholders.
  • Lead the creation of detailed technical designs leveraging ServiceNow best practices.
  • Ensure solutions meet business expectations with testing, performance, and security standards.
  • Translate requirements into technical designs and actionable tasks.
  • Maintain production reliability through Change/Configuration Management.
  • Serve as Release Manager, reviewing releases before Production.
  • Monitor application health, performance, and compliance.
  • Collaborate on upgrade strategies and requirements.
  • Oversee major ServiceNow version upgrades.
  • Design and develop ServiceNow solutions including new apps and modifications.

Position Overview

We are seeking a ServiceNow Systems Architect to provide technical leadership, architecture, and oversight for enterprise ServiceNow solutions supporting a government customer.

The architect will serve as a ServiceNow Subject Matter Expert (SME), translating business requirements into scalable technical designs, guiding development teams, managing integrations and releases, and ensuring platform reliability, security, and performance. This role requires extensive ServiceNow architecture experience and the ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders, developers, administrators, and project teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring, conduct peer code reviews, and ensure the ServiceNow team follows software development best practices.
  • Create and maintain API and data integration processes between ServiceNow and other enterprise services.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ServiceNow platform technologies to customers and stakeholders.
  • Lead the creation of application and technical design documents that leverage ServiceNow best practices and effectively integrate the platform into enterprise infrastructure.
  • Ensure ServiceNow solutions meet defined business expectations while maintaining appropriate testing, performance, and security standards.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed technical designs and actionable development tasks.
  • Maintain production instance reliability through Change and Configuration Management processes.
  • Serve as the ServiceNow Release Manager, providing final technical review before releases are promoted to Production.
  • Monitor application health, usage, performance, and overall compliance.
  • Collaborate with System Administrators and ServiceNow Support on platform upgrade strategies and technical requirements.
  • Oversee major ServiceNow version upgrades.
  • Design and develop ServiceNow solutions, including new applications and modifications to forms, workflows, policies, actions, access controls, interfaces, and other platform configurations required to support client processes.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience managing a ServiceNow environment.
  • 5+ years of experience serving as a lead technical architect in a comparable Agile development environment.
  • 2+ years of experience leading the design of new products in collaboration with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Experience implementing ServiceNow core platform functionality, ITSM processes, and custom development.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, Project & Portfolio Suite, IT Business Management, IT Operations Management, and Performance Analytics.
  • Strong experience with ServiceNow architecture, integrations, APIs, platform upgrades, and release management.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across technical and business teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or a related IT discipline.
  • An additional 4 years of related professional IT experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
Desired Qualifications
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in IT Service Management or a similar ServiceNow certification.
  • ITIL or comparable IT Service Management (ITSM) certification.
