The Air Force and Combatant Commands Business Group of SAIC is seeking a ServiceNow Software Engineer Senior to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.

SAIC is proud to support DCSA in safeguarding our nation’s information. DCSA oversees the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program, involving security oversight of over 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work across the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.

Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, customer support, and cutting-edge technologies to support operations and advance the DCSA mission within a unified IT environment (i.e., One IT).

Job Description

The ServiceNow Software Engineer Senior will play a pivotal role in the DCSA OCIO client engagement by leveraging their expertise in the ServiceNow platform to enhance, optimize, and automate IT service management and business processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ServiceNow development, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of ITIL processes. They will work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, design solutions, and implement ServiceNow modules and functionalities to meet the needs of the DCSA.

Key Responsibilities:

• ServiceNow Development:
• Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions, including modules such as IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), and IT Business Management (ITBM).
• Customize ServiceNow applications and manage configuration changes.
• Develop workflows, scripts, business rules, UI policies, UI actions, client scripts, and notifications.

• Integration and Automation:
• Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs and integration hub.
• Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.

• Technical Leadership:
• Serve as a technical advisor and lead on ServiceNow projects and initiatives.
• Mentor junior developers and team members.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.

• Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and end-users to gather requirements.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications and development tasks.

• Quality Assurance:
• Test developed solutions thoroughly and troubleshoot issues.

• Documentation and Reporting:
• Create technical documentation and generate system performance reports.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Nine (9) or more years of ServiceNow development and administration experience.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Extensive experience with ServiceNow platform capabilities, scripting, customization, and configuration.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related programming languages.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• Experience with modules like SecOps, GRC.
• Experience working with government or defense clients.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. Applications are accepted ongoing without a deadline. SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations for employees, but customer site policies must be followed when applicable.
