Qualifications

• Experience with CMDB, Discovery, Service Graph, and data models.
• Ability to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

Position Summary

We are seeking a ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing development of enterprise IT Asset Management capabilities. This role will serve as the technical owner responsible for Hardware Asset Management and Software Asset Management within the ServiceNow platform, supporting scalable processes, governance, automation, and reporting in a complex enterprise environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about ServiceNow, data quality, automation, and asset lifecycle management, with the ability to translate business requirements into sustainable solutions that deliver measurable value.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and enhancement of ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management and Software Asset Management capabilities.
• Manage asset lifecycle processes from procurement to retirement and disposal.
• Align IT asset management practices with configuration management database (CMDB), Discovery, Service Graph, and enterprise data models to ensure accurate and reliable asset data.
• Collaborate with IT, security, finance, procurement, operations, and vendors to support comprehensive asset strategies.
• Develop and optimize automation workflows across asset lifecycle processes to improve efficiency.
• Establish and maintain asset governance standards, normalization rules, and compliance controls.
• Support software license compliance efforts and identify opportunities to optimize costs.
• Create dashboards, KPIs, and reports to provide visibility into asset health, compliance, lifecycle status, expenditure, and risks.
• Assist with audit readiness and ongoing compliance requirements.
• Contribute to platform modernization initiatives and broader enterprise data strategies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience with ServiceNow ITAM, CMDB, IT operations, or related enterprise technologies.
• Hands-on experience supporting and implementing:
  • Hardware Asset Management Professional (HAM Pro)
  • Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro)
• Experience working with:
  • Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
  • Discovery systems
  • Service Graph and enterprise data models
  • Asset lifecycle management processes
  • Governance, compliance, and audit support functions
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Experience developing automated workflows and process improvements within ServiceNow.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow certifications such as:
  • Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • CIS-HAM
  • CIS-SAM
  • CIS-ITOM
• Experience supporting large, distributed, or multi-site organizations.
• Familiarity with enterprise data models and best practices for data management.
• Experience working within highly regulated or compliance-driven environments.
