Job summary

First Citizens seeks a Senior ServiceNow Developer with deep expertise in Software Asset Management (SAM Pro) to enable SBOM governance and open-source software management across the enterprise.

You will configure, develop, and enhance SAM capabilities, support integrations, data quality, and software compliance, and partner with CMDB, Discovery, and Asset Management teams to improve license visibility and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience OR high school diploma with 10+ years in systems engineering/engineering.
• 5+ years of ServiceNow development and implementation experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro.
• ServiceNow CAD certification.
• ServiceNow CSA certification.
• ServiceNow SAM certification preferred.
• Strong JavaScript development skills within the ServiceNow platform.
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and Integration Hub.
• Experience with Discovery and CMDB data management.
• Understanding software entitlements, licensing metrics, and compliance management.
• SDLC/Development practices in an enterprise environment.
• Experience in financial industry environments preferred.

Responsibilities

Overview

Seeking a ServiceNow Developer with deep experience in Software Asset Management (SAM Pro) to support an enterprise initiative focused on Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) management and the governance of open-source software. This role will be responsible for configuring, developing, and enhancing ServiceNow SAM capabilities while supporting integrations, software normalization, discovery data quality, and software compliance processes.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Qualifications: Minimum Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 6 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 10 years' experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer

Preferred qualifications:

• 5+ years of ServiceNow development and implementation experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro).
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• ServiceNow Certified Software Asset Manager (preferred).
• Strong JavaScript development skills within the ServiceNow platform.
• Experience with ServiceNow Integration Hub and REST/SOAP integrations.
• Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB data management.
• Experience with software model normalization and software asset reconciliation processes.
• Understanding software entitlements, publishers, licensing metrics, and compliance management.
• Experience working with SDLC/Development practices in an enterprise environment.
• Experience working in an LFI or financial industry.
