Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to join our high-performing Development team within the Department of Education. This position is remote.
What you will do:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform.
- Customize and integrate applications with other systems to meet business requirements.
- Use scripting languages like JavaScript and Glide API to configure the platform, automate processes, and ensure seamless data transfer.
- Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and applications through APIs and other methods to ensure data flow and automation.
- Configure and manage the ServiceNow platform, including user access, roles, and permissions, to meet specific business needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow applications and the platform.
- Provide support to users and other developers.
- Determine upgrade and enhancement parameters and implement following test plans to ensure enhancements are tested and debugged.
- Prioritize, assess, and present options based on time requirements, scope, and cost/licensing considerations.
- Work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Design solutions with creative thinking, focusing on standard, repeatable configurations rather than highly customized solutions.
- Communicate effectively through documentation, email, and meetings with team members, leadership, and stakeholders.
- Share knowledge and provide mentorship as needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience; an additional 4 years of experience may substitute for the degree.
- Five (5) years of experience with the ServiceNow platform as an administrator/developer.
- Experience in deploying and supporting ITSM and ITOM, including CMDB and Discovery, with MID server and service portal.
- Experience in ServiceNow development (GLIDE, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer, ACLs, Script Includes, UI Scripts, APIs).
- Ability to understand stakeholder requirements and translate them into maintainable technical solutions.
- Produce tangible deliverables such as requirements specifications, design documents, and project objectives within deadlines.
- Ability to troubleshoot bugs, fix defects, and support ServiceNow users.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, debugging, error log analysis, and researching solutions.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust Clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with ServiceNow integration with other programs.
- Knowledge of App Engine Studio and custom app development in ServiceNow.
- Experience deploying and supporting ACC in a multi-vendor environment.
- Knowledge of CMDB Service Mapping.
- Experience with IRM/GRC.
- Web development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML).
- Certified Implementation Specialist – IT Service Management.
- Ability to document and develop procedures.
- ITIL v3 or higher certification.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related technologies.

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This range reflects typical compensation based on experience and other factors.
