Our client, a leading IT Services company, are hiring a ServiceNow Developer to join the team in New York on a contract basis. The successful candidate will enjoy the opportunity to lead the design, development and implementation of cutting-edge ServiceNow solutions that improve service delivery and align with the company’s business objectives.

Responsibilities

• As the ServiceNow Developer, you will head the development team in the design, implementation, and upkeep of ServiceNow applications and modules.
• You will design and build custom applications, workflows, and integrations on the ServiceNow platform.
• Execute complex business logic through scripting, including client scripts, business rules, and UI policies.
• Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and assess requirements, transforming them into technical specifications.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure comprehensive testing of developed solutions to uphold high-quality standards.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Maintain thorough technical documentation, including design specifications, development notes, and user guides.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering skill development and the implementation of best practices within the team.

Skillset

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar.
• Minimum of seven years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration, demonstrating a successful history of implementations.
• Proven experience in leading development teams or projects within a ServiceNow environment.
• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS and ServiceNow-specific scripting languages.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM and ITBM.
• Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs for integration with third-party applications.
• Certified System Administrator and Certified Application Developer certifications are a plus.
