Job summary

Big Impact Tech (BIT) is a federal and commercial IT consulting firm seeking a ServiceNow Developer. You will work on integration, workflow design, and configuration, with a focus on ITSM modules and API integrations.

The role requires hands-on web development experience and familiarity with agile practices, ITIL, and a strong foundation in data, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions. Hybrid work arrangement is available in Washington, DC area.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of ServiceNow development including ITSM core tables, Glide, scripting, UI actions, business rules, and data imports.
• Three+ years in Web development with Web Services, HTML/XHTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, and JavaScript libraries.
• Experience delivering core apps such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, and CMDB.
• Experience with ServiceNow APIs and integration; platform upgrades and releases.
• Familiarity with Agile and ITIL.

Responsibilities

• Understand ServiceNow implementation including process integration, workflow design and configuration.
• Provide support and root cause analysis for ServiceNow, implementing bug fixes.
• Perform basic no- to low-code configuration of ServiceNow (catalog items, workflows, dashboards, portal).

Responsibilities

• Understand all technical aspects of the ServiceNow implementation including process and solution integration, workflow design and configuration, integration components (SSO, LDAP, etc.) and reporting
• Provide support for ServiceNow by troubleshooting a variety of difficult software problems, implementing bug fixes and performing root cause analysis
• Perform basic no- to low- code configuration of ServiceNow such as catalog items, workflows, form views, choice lists, dashboards, portal, etc.

Required Qualifications

• At least two years of experience with ServiceNow development, including core ITSM tables, Glide, scripting, UI actions, scheduled jobs, business rules, client scripts, data imports, custom apps, and a development method
• At least three years of experience with Web development, including Web Services, X-HTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, jQuery or Angular
• Demonstrated ability delivering core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, and CMDB
• Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow APIs and integration
• Demonstrated experience developing solutions consistent with architectural standards and ServiceNow best practices
• Demonstrated ability planning and executing platform upgrades and application releases through Production and Preproduction environments
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and the ITIL framework
• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related IT discipline
• Additional four years of related professional experience can be substituted for a BS/BA degree

• ServiceNow CIS IT Service Management or other similar ServiceNow certification
