Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners LLC in Irving, TX is seeking a Software Engineer for a 12-month contract with a hybrid work arrangement. You will contribute to enterprise-scale software initiatives at a major financial services company.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze moderately complex engineering challenges, and develop on the ServiceNow platform using configuration and scripting while ensuring security and scalability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.

Responsibilities

• Consult on moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering.
• Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation.
• Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet deliverables.
• Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering.
• Develop on the ServiceNow platform utilizing configuration and scripting.
• Work on the Third Party Risk Management module.
• Able to contribute towards Agentic AI use cases and deliver per best practices with core and platform teams.
• Code, configure, unit test, maintain, and document software deliverables using agreed standards and tools.
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and comply with defined standards and best practices.
• Maintain depth of technical understanding of third party/cloud solutions and evaluate impacts from new releases.
• Communicate progress daily with the Scrum Master/TP Owner and Agile team; participate in code reviews and retrospectives.
• Ensure quality through manual and automated testing and CI practices.

What You Will Be Doing

• Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables.
• Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering.
• Develop on the ServiceNow platform utilizing configuration and scripting
• Work on the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) module
• Able to contribute towards Agentic AI use cases
• Able to deliver per best practices in partnership with core and platform team
• Code, configure, unit test, maintain, and document software deliverables using agreed upon standards and tools
• Ensure that solutions delivered by self or team members are secure and scalable, comply with defined standards and best practices
• Ensure product backlog has appropriate technical stories and participates in their prioritization
• Responsible for communication and collaboration with key stakeholders in the delivery of features
• Maintain depth of technical understanding of third party/cloud solutions
• Evaluate technical impacts from and coordinates implementation of new product releases
• Communicate daily with the Scrum Master or Technical Product Owner and the Agile team on progress made, planned progress for the coming day, and reports any impediments/blockers
• Participate in code reviews and sprint retrospectives; ensuring their ideas for team continuous improvement are communicated so that the overall process and team can improve sprint by sprint and readily receives feedback for self-improvement
• Responsible for ensuring the quality of existing and new features through both manual and automated testing and use of continuous Integration techniques
• Collaborate with business analysts to confirm understanding of business requirements relating to features to be delivered and to help business analysts define requirements that can be delivered from a technical perspective
• Educate and provide guidance to less-experienced staff
