Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking an experienced ServiceNow-focused software engineering leader. The role involves ownership of platform direction, governance, and architecture alignment, while mentoring teams and translating business needs into scalable platform solutions.
The position supports an onsite preference with potential remote/hybrid opportunities. Level 3/Level 4 compensation ranges reflect extensive experience and credentials, with multi-level placement based on depth of
Level 4: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or related field and at least 9 years of direct professional experience; or in lieu of a degree High School diploma or equivalent and at least 15 years of direct/professional experience.
Experience acting as a ServiceNow Platform Owner, Tech Lead, Platform System Admin or equivalent, including governance, roadmap development, release strategy, environment management (clones, upgrades), and alignment with enterprise architecture.
Demonstrated ability to mentor developers, guide architects, and lead cross-functional teams on platform-wide best practices.
Proven ability to translate complex, multi-module business strategy into platform strategy — ensuring maintainability, scalability, and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Ability to do resource planning and allocation aligned to yearly budget cycles, including timesheet compliance to meet capital budget requirements.
Demonstrated experience influencing the overall IT roadmap with stakeholders to address process gaps and manage escalations.
