Everforth Apex is seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Architect IV to own the CMDB architecture, data model, and governance, while remaining hands-on across development, administration, and stakeholder engagements.

You will guide CMDB strategy, define data ownership, and ensure alignment with ITSM processes, reporting to executives and cross-functional leaders. Remote options may apply for highly qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or a similar field.
• 10+ years implementing enterprise IT systems and infrastructure.
• 8+ years leading ServiceNow architecture engagements.
• 4+ years in cloud infrastructure technologies.
• At least one full lifecycle ServiceNow implementation as lead architect.

Responsabilités

• Own and design the CMDB architecture, data model, and strategy with CMDB best practices.
• Establish and enforce CMDB governance, CI ownership, and data stewardship.
• Configure and optimize ServiceNow Discovery; integrate AWS, Azure, VMware, and others.
• Assess environment, perform gap analyses, and develop a CMDB maturity roadmap.
• Ensure CMDB data supports Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Serve as CMDB SME, creating training and standards for CI owners.
• Perform development, administration, and troubleshooting tasks as needed.
• Define, track, and report CMDB health KPIs: completeness, accuracy, compliance.

Job Description

Role Overview

This position is for a ServiceNow Architect, specifically acting as a ServiceNow CMDB Manager. The role requires an individual who can operate across architecture, development, administration, governance, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will own the CMDB architecture and strategy while remaining hands-on, guide stakeholders through complex decisions, and communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive leadership.

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina (possibly open to 100% remote)

Alternate Location: Atlanta, Georgia (possibly open to 100% remote)

Key Responsibilities

• Own and design the CMDB architecture, data model, and strategy in alignment with ServiceNow CSDM best practices.
• Establish and enforce CMDB governance policies, CI ownership, data stewardship standards, and management protocols.
• Configure, manage, and optimize ServiceNow Discovery and integrate third-party data sources (e.g., AWS, Azure, VMware, Infoblox, Lansweeper).
• Assess the current environment, conduct gap analysis, and develop a practical CMDB maturity roadmap.
• Ensure CMDB data supports and enriches key ITSM processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Act as the subject matter expert for the CMDB, creating training, documentation, and standards for CI owners.
• Perform development, administration, and troubleshooting tasks as needed.
• Define, track, and report on CMDB health KPIs, including completeness, accuracy, and compliance.

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or a similar and applicable field of study.

Experience

• 10+ years implementing enterprise IT systems, applications, and infrastructure.
• 8+ years of experience leading ServiceNow architecture engagements.
• 4+ years in cloud infrastructure technologies.
• At least one full lifecycle ServiceNow implementation in the role of a lead architect.

Technical Skills

• Deep understanding of ServiceNow core infrastructure, CMDB, ITSM, CSM, SPM, and GRC.
• Proficient in ServiceNow scripting languages (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and application development best practices.
• Experience with ServiceNow integrations, including REST APIs, SOAP, and other integration methods.
