Job summary

Volkswagen of Cool Springs is looking for motivated individuals to start as a Service Express Technician and grow into a full Volkswagen technician. You’ll learn the fundamentals, get mentorship, and move along a clear development path from Apprentice to Master Technician.

The role emphasizes hands-on training, strict safety standards, and a culture of growth and accountability within a high-volume service department in Middle Tennessee.

Qualifications

• Motivated, coachable, and serious about becoming a VW technician.
• Experience in automotive service is a plus.
• Willingness to learn VW processes, tools and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Master fundamentals of professional VW service while supporting shop workflow.
• Perform multipoint inspections with video and record tire tread measurements.
• Complete oil and filter services efficiently and correctly.
• Support advisors by communicating additional needs clearly.
• Identify safety or maintenance concerns for customers.
• Learn VW processes, tools, and diagnostics from mentors.
• Follow strict dealership and manufacturer safety and quality standards.

What You’ll Do (and What You’ll Learn)

You’ll master the fundamentals of professional VW service while supporting our shop’s workflow:

• Complete oil and filter services efficiently and correctly
• Support our advisors by clearly communicating additional needs
• Identify safety or maintenance concerns that protect our customers
• Learn VW processes, tools, and diagnostics from experienced mentors
• Follow strict dealership & manufacturer safety and quality standards

This is hands-on, real-world technician development — not just oil changes.

Basic Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (manual transmission preferred)
• Ability to follow written instructions and established proceduresFamiliarity with basic automotive service
• Prior tech school or mechanical experience is a plus
