Job summary

Midwest Transit Equipment is seeking a qualified Full Time Shop Dispatcher for our Kankakee, IL location. The role manages daily work orders, assigns tasks to technicians, and coordinates with parts and service staff to ensure timely, safe vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities include unloading and tracking work orders, communicating with manufacturers for warranty approvals, and ensuring proper billing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assigns jobs to technicians based on workload and location.
• Prepares, updates, and dispatches daily work orders.
• Gathers and maintains work orders and documentation.
• Ensures job completion and invoices customers when jobs are completed.
• Documents warranty claims and tracks warranty parts.
• Communicates with Parts Dept and Service Technicians to ensure parts are on hand.
• Keeps warranty policies and product changes updated.
