Williams Auto Group is seeking a Service Writer to join our Elmira, NY team. This role connects customers with the Service Department and coordinates repair workflows to ensure a smooth service experience.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or automotive experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with automotive service needs.
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
• Prepare repair orders, estimates, and service recommendations.
• Communicate with customers throughout the repair process through phone, text, and email.
• Coordinate with technicians and Service Department staff regarding vehicle repairs and timelines.
• Schedule service appointments and maintain customer follow-up.
• Explain completed repairs, charges, and maintenance recommendations to customers.
• Utilize dealership software and mobile technology for customer communication and repair tracking.
• Maintain accurate records while following federal and state regulations.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the service experience.
• Support dealership operations and complete additional tasks as assigned.

• ASE Certifications or Manufacturer Training preferred
• Valid Driver’s License required
