Job summary

Don Ringler Automotive in Temple, TX, is seeking a Service Valet/Porter to support our service department. You will greet customers, transport vehicles, and assist technicians and service staff while upholding safety and production standards.

The role offers on-the-job training, a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life and disability insurance, paid training, and paid vacation days. A High School diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Operator Driver's License (must be insurable and ability to drive a standard transmission).

Responsibilities

  • Pick up from and deliver customers to desired locations
  • Pick up and deliver vehicles to sublet vendors and customers as directed
  • Move vehicles from intake area to storage area
  • Move vehicles inside and outside of service center to help achieve production standards
  • Maintain a neat and orderly production and service areas by sweeping, removal of trash and discarded parts as well as other actions required to maintain the appearance of the production areas
  • Maintain other areas of the service center and facilities such as offices, storage areas and around the outside of the service center
  • Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes
  • Save and tag all warranty parts for storage

Education

The Service Valet/Porter is responsible for performing a variety of duties as they relate to the operation of a service department. This position interacts daily with Customers, Technicians, Service Associates, Parts Associates, Cashiers, Sales Associates and Managers, just to name a few.

This position is also a great position to grow from! For the right candidate we will provide training and opportunities to grow and advance into other positions as they become available in our Parts, Service, Collision and Sales departments.
