Job summary

Chapman Auto Stores in Lancaster County, PA is seeking a Full-Time Automotive Service Porter / Valet to support advisors, technicians, and the lot crew. You will help keep the service department moving and ensure customers receive exceptional care from arrival to handoff.

The role requires a team-first mindset, a valid driver's license with a clean record, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport client vehicles to and from homes or workplaces, representing the dealership team.
• Assist on the Service Drive by greeting guests and supporting check-in
• Coordinate vehicle staging with dispatch and technicians to minimize bay downtime
• Prepare vehicles for handoff by washing, vacuuming, and presenting cars to customers
• Provide flexible support across the department as needed, including shuttling parts and loaners.

What You’ll Do

• Client Pick-Up & Delivery: Safely transport client vehicles to and from homes or workplaces, serving as a professional ambassador for our entire dealership team.
• Support the Service Drive: Partner with Service Advisors during peak check-in rushes—greeting guests, tagging keys, applying protective covers, and keeping the drive clear of congestion.
• Shop & Bay Flow: Coordinate closely with dispatch and technicians to stage vehicles where they need to be, when they need to be there, minimizing bay downtime.
• Vehicle Delivery Prep: Assist the team with final vehicle presentation by running units through the wash bay, vacuuming, and pulling cars forward for customer handoff.
• All-Hands Department Support: Step in flexibly wherever the department needs an extra set of hands, from shuttling parts and prepping loaner vehicles to keeping shop walkways and staging lots safe and organized.
