Job summary

ITW Welding is seeking a Service Training & Development Manager to lead the service training team and deliver technical training for distributors, service agencies, rental businesses, end users, automation integrators and internal staff.

You’ll blend instructional leadership with cross-functional collaboration to develop high-impact programs, translate complex manuals and schematics into engaging learning experiences, and drive continuous improvement across the service network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant technical service or training experience.
• Technical aptitude and interest in welding equipment and systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and service documentation.
• Experience delivering training to groups and leading teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD or similar software.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the service training team with processes and growth plans.
• Design and deliver instructor-led, computer-based, and blended training.
• Align training with new products, technologies, and service requirements.
• Develop programs for service network growth and partner efficiency.
• Influence international post-sales support and training content.
• Lead Voice of Customer efforts to refine training programs and standards.
• Evaluate training effectiveness with assessments and feedback.
• Maintain training equipment and support budget and operations.
• Contribute to systems used by domestic and international partners.
