Job summary

Transport Enterprise Leasing in Greenfield, IN is seeking a Service Technician (Trailer) to inspect, repair, and maintain trailers so they perform safely and reliably for customers.

This hands-on role requires strong mechanical ability, clear communication with the parts team, and a commitment to quality, productivity, and following OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with trailers, maintenance, repair, or reconditioning.
  • Strong mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of shop safety practices, maintenance standards, and inspection expectations.
  • Ability to work efficiently, stay organized, and manage multiple repair tasks with consistency.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work closely with parts and shop leadership.
  • CDL or the ability to maintain one if required is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, and prepare trailers for release with a strong focus on safety, quality, and turnaround time.
  • Perform maintenance and reconditioning work on trailer systems, components, and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot issues with limited assistance and communicate repair needs clearly and accurately.
  • Document work performed correctly and clock in and out of work orders with attention to detail.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity while meeting expected repair timelines.
  • Coordinate with the parts team to identify and secure the parts needed for each job.
  • Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe while following OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Report concerns, additional repair needs, or equipment issues to shop leadership in a timely manner.
  • Support continuous improvement by sharing ideas and helping improve processes across the shop.

What You Bring
