Job summary

Swift Transportation Company in Columbus, OH is seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic to keep our fleet safe and on the road. You will perform maintenance and repairs on tractors, trailers, and refrigerated units, and work Friday through Tuesday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Able to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Able to pass a pre-employment hair follicle drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance on tractors, trailers, refrigerated units, and support equipment.
• Diagnosing mechanical issues and completing repairs.
• Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Repairing and replacing truck and trailer components.
• Conducting inspections and ensuring DOT compliance.
• Performing tire repair, maintenance, and failure analysis.
