Job summary

TEL in Indianapolis is seeking an Equipment Sales Specialist (Retail) to turn walk-ins into earnings by pairing customers with premium truck and trailer equipment.

You’ll own the retail sales process in your area, build lasting customer relationships, and work with Salesforce to qualify, nurture, and close opportunities.

A bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in B2B sales in transportation help you hit ambitious targets in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management (or related field)
  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience in the transportation industry
  • Track record of increasing responsibility and delivering results
  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM platform

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage prospective customers and walk-in traffic, then turn interest into action.
  • Tell the TEL story with confidence: explain how our products and services can boost profitability and improve cash flow.
  • Partner with fleet customers to identify, qualify, and nurture leads, supporting a smooth handoff from prospect to buyer.
  • Hit (and exceed) sales targets with a primary focus on retail truck and trailer sales in your AOR.
  • Keep your pipeline moving and your opportunities visible, using Salesforce and other tools to stay on top of next steps and follow-through.
  • Be the primary point of contact for assigned prospects, responding quickly, professionally, and with a solutions mindset.
  • Resolve customer questions or concerns directly, or coordinate with internal teams to ensure fast, accurate support.
  • Keep your competitive edge sharp. Track competitor activity, trends, and market shifts to spot opportunities.
  • Follow TEL Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies while always looking for ways to improve how we serve customers.
