Job summary

Bob Brown Auto in Des Moines, IA seeks experienced automotive technicians to diagnose and repair all makes/models. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required; ASE certification and GM experience are a plus.

Responsibilities include test driving, inspecting vehicles, using diagnostic tools, and communicating with the service team to ensure repairs are completed correctly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of service technician experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE certification required.
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair.
• Dexterity and steady hand with diagnostic equipment.
• Basic computer competencies and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Test drive and inspect ALL makes and models of used vehicles.
• Test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor and Parts Department regarding needed diagnosis, parts, and repairs.
• Verify all repairs were completed correctly.

Salary

Salary: $27+ per flag hour plus progressive bonus programdepending on certification and experience
