Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Experienced Service Technician to join our team in Ponca City, OK. You will perform repairs on repair orders, diagnose issues, and work with diagnostic tools to keep vehicles safe and reliable.

Responsibilities include test-driving vehicles, diagnosing systems, and communicating estimates to customers while maintaining a clean, organized shop and pursuing additional certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• Heavy line mechanic with knowledge of engines and transmissions.
• Strong automotive background and work history.
• Must have valid driver's license and pass drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on repair orders efficiently per dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components with diagnostic tools.
• Repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, brakes, A/C, steering, suspension.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about time estimates and additional repairs.
• Complete certifications as needed and maintain a clean, organized shop.

Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Prepare to get additional certification as needed.
• Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
• Help keep repair shop clean and organized.
• Keep a professional appearance

Qualifications:

• Specific Automotive Certifications are ideal
• Strong automotive background
• Strong work history
• Heavy line mechanic with knowledge of engines and transmissions
• Must have valid driver's license
• Willing to submit to a drug screen (THC is not tested for pre-employment)
