Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience repairing electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to use tools for electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs.
• Approved safe driving record.
• Familiarity with poultry production facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Georgia Poultry customers with repair needs.
• Recommend parts and equipment to address customer needs.
• Repair/replace faulty parts and equipment in poultry facilities.
• Bill customers for service work hours accurately.
• Coordinate with in-store team on warranty claims.
• Take advantage of training opportunities offered by Georgia Poultry Equipment and vendors.

Job Summary:

Georgia Poultry Equipment Company, a division of Hog Slat, Inc., the world’s leading provider of parts, equipment and turn-key construction to the swine & poultry industries is seeking a Service Technician with excellent customer service skills and experience in electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems to join the team at our Siloam Springs, AR location.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work withGeorgia Poultrycustomers to understand their repair needs
• Give customers recommendations on the best parts & equipment available atGeorgiaPoultrywith which their needs can be addressed
• Repair/replace faulty parts & equipment in area poultry facilities
• Properly bill customers for service work hours
• Work with theGeorgiaPoultryin-store team to manage warranty claims
• Take advantage of training opportunities offered byGeorgiaPoultry Equipment Companyand by it’s vendors

Skill/Knowledge Required:

• Ability to use tools associated with the repair of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems
• Approved safe driving record
• Familiarity with the poultryproduction industry and the poultry producers in the area preferred
• Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modernpoultry productionfacilities
• At least 2 years of prior experience repairing and replacing electrical and mechanical equipment is required
• Prior experience working with the systems found in modernpoultry facilities (e.g. ventilation, feeding/watering, heating…)
