Job summary

Georgia Poultry Equipment Company, a division of Hog Slat, Inc., seeks a Service Technician with strong customer service skills and experience in electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems for our Nacogdoches, TX location.

Ideal candidate will repair and replace electrical and mechanical equipment in poultry facilities, work with customers on repair needs, and manage warranty claims, benefiting from training opportunities offered by the company and its vendors.

Qualifications

• Ability to use tools for electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs.
• Approved safe driving record.
• Familiarity with poultry production industry and local producers preferred.
• Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modern poultry facilities.
• At least 2 years of repair experience on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Experience with systems in poultry facilities (ventilation, feeding, watering, heating) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Georgia Poultry customers to understand repair needs.
• Recommend parts and equipment to address customer needs.
• Repair/replace faulty parts and equipment in poultry facilities.
• Bill customers for service work hours.
• Work with in-store team to manage warranty claims.
• Pursue training opportunities offered by the company and vendors.

Job Summary:

Georgia Poultry Equipment Company, a division of Hog Slat, Inc., the world’s leading provider of parts, equipment and turn-key construction to the swine & poultry industries is seeking aService Technicianwith excellent customer service skills and experience in electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems to join the team at our Nacogdoches, TX location.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change.

• Work withGeorgia Poultrycustomers to understand their repair needs
• Give customers recommendations on the best parts & equipment available atGeorgiaPoultrywith which their needs can be addressed
• Repair/replace faulty parts & equipment in area poultry facilities
• Properly bill customers for service work hours
• Work with theGeorgiaPoultryin-store team to manage warranty claims
• Take advantage of training opportunities offered byGeorgiaPoultry Equipment Companyand by it’s vendors

Skill/Knowledge Required:

The ideal candidate will have the following experience/educational background:

• Ability to use tools associated with the repair of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems
• Approved safe driving record
• Familiarity with the poultryproduction industry and the poultry producers in the area preferred
• Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modernpoultry productionfacilities
• At least 2 years of prior experience repairing and replacing electrical and mechanical equipment is required
• Prior experience working with the systems found in modernpoultry facilities (e.g. ventilation, feeding/watering, heating…) is preferred
