Georgia Poultry Equipment Company, a division of Hog Slat, Inc., the world’s leading provider of parts, equipment and turn-key construction to the swine & poultry industries is seeking a Service Technician with excellent customer service skills and experience in electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems to join the team at our Live Oak, FL location.

The ideal candidate will repair electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems in poultry facilities, travel to customer sites, maintain safety

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience repairing and replacing electrical equipment
• Experience with repair of plumbing and mechanical systems
• Ability to use tools for electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs
• Approved safe driving record
• Familiarity with poultry production facilities preferred

Responsibilities

• Work with Georgia Poultry customers to understand their repair needs
• Give customers recommendations on the best parts and equipment available to address their needs
• Repair/replace faulty parts and equipment in area poultry facilities
• Properly bill customers for service work hours
• Work with the Georgia Poultry in-store team to manage warranty claims
• Take advantage of training opportunities offered by Georgia Poultry Equipment Company and by its vendors

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change.

• Work withGeorgia Poultrycustomers to understand their repair needs
• Give customers recommendations on the best parts & equipment available atGeorgiaPoultrywith which their needs can be addressed
• Repair/replace faulty parts & equipment in area poultry facilities
• Properly bill customers for service work hours
• Work with theGeorgiaPoultryin-store team to manage warranty claims
• Take advantage of training opportunities offered byGeorgiaPoultry Equipment Companyand by it’s vendors

Skill/Knowledge Required

The ideal candidate will have the following experience/educational background:

• Ability to use tools associated with the repair of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems
• Approved safe driving record
• Familiarity with the poultryproduction industry and the poultry producers in the area preferred
• Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modernpoultry productionfacilities
• At least 2 years of prior experience repairing and replacing electrical and mechanical equipment is required
• Prior experience working with the systems found in modernpoultry facilities (e.g. ventilation, feeding/watering, heating…) is preferred
