Service Technician - Overhead Cranes

Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on overhead cranes and hoists.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, and structural diagnostics to identify and resolve crane-related issues efficiently.
• Utilize various tools and equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble crane components as necessary.
• Complete service reports, documenting work performed, parts used, and time spent on each service call.
• Collaborate with the service team and customer representatives to ensure effective communication and customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company protocols during all service operations.
• Maintain and organize service vehicle, tools, and equipment for optimal functionality and safety.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding crane operation and maintenance.
• Stay updated with the latest crane technology and industry best practices through ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Military veteran with prior experience as an overhead crane service technician is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in crane maintenance and repair is advantageous.
• Solid experience in servicing overhead cranes and hoists, including electrical, mechanical, and structural components.
• Familiarity with various crane manufacturers and models, such as Demag, Konecranes, or similar brands.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards in all aspects of crane service and maintenance.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
