Job summary

Raymond Central in Memphis, TN is seeking a Field Service Technician to support forklift and material handling equipment at a major customer site. This full-time, on-site role requires hands-on maintenance, diagnostics, and preventive service.

You will work a night shift schedule with some overtime, maintain tools and paperwork, adhere to safety policies, and develop strong customer relationships as you ensure high-quality service and reliable equipment.

Qualifications

• Two years of hands-on technical experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical components.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to climb ladders and/or work on elevated platforms that may be 15’ to 30’ in height.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service, and support material handling equipment, systems and products at the customer location in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Diagnose, trouble-shoot, and repair forklifts and other equipment following established guidelines and procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment according to procedures and cost guidelines.
• Complete all required paperwork and time records accurately.
• Account for all parts, materials, tools, and consumables used as required.
• Drive and work safely following safety policies and procedures.
• Develop positive relationships with customers and co-workers.
• Maintain the van’s interior equipment, manuals and documents.
• Attend meetings, training classes and other company activities as required.
• Keep a set of personal tools as required.
• Collaborate with all departments to ensure high quality customer service.

Field Service Technician –Memphis, TN

At Raymond Central, our technicians are the heart and soul of our company. We are looking for a Resident Service Technician to support forklift and equipment maintenance onsite with one of our largest customers.

*This is a full time, hourly position. Some overtime may be required based on customer demands.The schedule is Wednesday from Midnight-6am, then Thursday-Saturday from 6pm to 6am.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain, service, and support material handling equipment, systems and products at the customer location in a timely and cost-effective manner so that all requirements are met.
• Diagnose, trouble-shoot, and repair forklifts and other equipment in accordance with established guidelines and procedures; ensuring that positive relationships are established.
• Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment according to established procedures and cost guidelines at customer’s facility.
• Complete all required paperwork and time records accurately and completely follow Mobile Tech Procedures as directed by management.
• Account for all parts, materials, tools, and consumables used as required.
• Drive and work safely in accordance with company and/or customer safety policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain positive, effective working relationships with customers and co-workers.
• Maintain the van’s interior equipment, storage devices, service manuals and related documents.
• Attend meetings, training classes and other company activities as required.
• Keep an adequate set of personal tools as required by the position.
• Work with all departments and employees to ensure high quality customer service.

Ideal candidate will possess:

• Strong mechanical aptitude & ability; basic knowledge of industrial electricity
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, operation manuals, manufacturer’s specifications
• Experience within the industrial maintenance, automotive, heavy equipment industries

Minimum Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED
• At least two (2) years of hands-on technical experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical components
