Job summary

Mark-Vii-Equipment in Missouri seeks a Field Service Technician to perform maintenance and repair of equipment in the field with minimal supervision.

You will troubleshoot chemical, mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, service PLCs and power supplies, and provide on-site training and customer support.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant field experience.
• Proficient with MS Office products.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and understand PLCs.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled and preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned by Dispatch.
• Troubleshoots chemical, mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, PLCs, and power supplies.
• Performs diagnostic analysis and provides on-site technical training for customers.
• Assists in installation of new equipment and updates as required.
• Maintains tools and equipment and ensures safe vehicle operation.

Location: Fenton, MOSalary: $24.00 – 30.00 Per Hour (Non-Exempt)Summary:The Field Service Technician is responsible for equipment maintenance and repair, and for documenting related repairs and services. This position also recommends changes in systems, programs, and equipment to improve reliability, increase capability, and/or reduce customer costs. The field service technician performs the following duties in the field with minimal supervision and coaching.Roles & Responsibilities:Performs periodically scheduled and preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned by Dispatch.Responsible for accurately troubleshooting chemical, mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, PLC controllers and power supplies.Performs diagnostic analysis.Provide sound technical assistance to all customers and distributors.Provide on-site technical training for customer personnel pertaining to use, operation, and maintenance.May assist in the installation of new carwash equipment.Performs repairs and corrects malfunctions as necessary.Modifies or updates equipment when required.Maintains tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional manner.Maintains all company owned and leased equipment in proper condition.Operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, while obeying local laws and regulations.May work with processes that are unique or peculiar to customer needs.Involved in the problem-solving process regarding customer complaints.Interfaces with customers and related company personnel to ensure effective communication and dissemination of information required in establishing superior customer service.Keep abreast of new developments and innovations leading to improved departmental and company performance.Accurately perceives information from others.Assures appropriate flow of information and reports matters clearly, concisely, and accurately.Job Requirements:Education & Experience3-5 years relevant field experience.Requires technical knowledge and ability to develop improved methods for fulfilling responsibilities.Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)Requires technical knowledge and ability to develop improved methods for fulfilling responsibilities.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are a must.Ability to read and comprehend documents and follow simple instructionsAbility to read and understand electrical diagramsUnderstanding of OLC controllers, low voltage control circuits and three-phase powerPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb and use hands to grip regularly.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Prolonged periods of sitting.Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined.Note: This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities or qualifications associated with the job.Benefits & PerksHealth & Wellness: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus 24/7 virtual care and mental health support via Teladoc.
