Job summary

Mark VII - Clean Cars® is seeking a Service Technician in Phoenix, AZ. You will perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment, PLC controllers, and power supplies in the field with minimal supervision.

The role involves on-site training for customers and potential installation support for new carwash systems. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong MS Office skills, and solid knowledge of electrical diagrams and three-phase power.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years relevant field experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams.
  • Understanding of OLC controllers, low voltage control circuits and three‑phase power.

Responsibilities

  • Performs periodically scheduled and preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Troubleshoots chemical, mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, PLC controllers and power supplies.
  • Provides on-site technical training for customer personnel.
  • May assist in installation of new carwash equipment.
  • Performs repairs and corrects malfunctions as necessary.
  • Maintains tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional manner.
  • Interface with customers and company personnel to ensure effective communication.

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Salary: $24.00-28.00 Hourly (Non-Exempt)

Summary

The Service Technician is responsible for equipment maintenance and repair, and for documenting related repairs and services. This position also recommends changes in systems, programs, and equipment to improve reliability, increase capability, and/or reduce customer costs. The field service technician performs the following duties in the field with minimal supervision and coaching.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Performs periodically scheduled and preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned by Dispatch.
  • Responsible for accurately troubleshooting chemical, mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, PLC controllers and power supplies.
  • Performs diagnostic analysis.
  • Provide sound technical assistance to all customers and distributors.
  • Provide on-site technical training for customer personnel pertaining to use, operation, and maintenance.
  • May assist in the installation of new carwash equipment.
  • Performs repairs and corrects malfunctions as necessary.
  • Modifies or updates equipment when required.
  • Maintains tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional manner.
  • Maintains all company owned and leased equipment in proper condition.
  • Operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, while obeying local laws and regulations.
  • May work with processes that are unique or peculiar to customer needs.
  • Involved in the problem-solving process regarding customer complaints.
  • Interfaces with customers and related company personnel to ensure effective communication and dissemination of information required in establishing superior customer service.
  • Keep abreast of new developments and innovations leading to improved departmental and company performance.
  • Accurately perceives information from others.
  • Assures appropriate flow of information and reports matters clearly, concisely, and accurately.

Education & Experience
  • 3-5 years relevant field experience.
  • Requires technical knowledge and ability to develop improved methods for fulfilling responsibilities.
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb and use hands to grip regularly.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting.
  • Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined.
