Job summary

Mark-Taylor is hiring a Service Technician at Aviva in Mesa, AZ. You will help keep our communities running smoothly by handling maintenance repairs and contributing to the upkeep of the community, while providing the five-star service that makes Mark-Taylor communities feel like home.

Requirements include knowledge of plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry and OSHA standards; basic computer skills; and previous apartment maintenance experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• General knowledge in Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
• Knowledge of building systems.
• Service orientation and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completion of make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning/heating, appliance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and drywall issues.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care and ensure chemical balance and safety.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
• Inspect property for safety hazards and report to Manager of Facilities and Service.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service and be available in uniform.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
