Job summary

Mark-Taylor in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and repair apartment communities. You will assist in make-ready units, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues, and help ensure safety and upkeep across the properties.

Qualifications

• General knowledge in plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, landscaping, appliances, and OSHA standards.
• Knowledge of building systems.
• Service-oriented with a focus on customer service.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience as apartment turn/ make-ready/ work order technician is highly desirable.
• Basic written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning/heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and drywall issues.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care and ensure chemical balance and safety at all times.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
• Inspect property for safety hazards and inform Manager of Facilities/Service of hazards.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service and be available in uniform/badge.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
