Job summary

Interns work with a mentor to diagnose, inspect and service equipment, while meeting safety standards. Graduates may receive a sign-on bonus and four years of post-graduation incentives when moving to a full-time Service Technician role.

Qualifications

• Must enroll or be attending an approved Heavy Equipment Service or Diesel Technology program.
• Maintain a GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) while in program.
• Provide transcripts and diploma to receive the financial incentives and sign on bonus upon full time employment.
• Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Partner with mentor to diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment as assigned by the supervisor.
• Document machine information and repairs completed on work orders, including parts and fluids used.
• Maintain a clean work area, and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to company manuals and employee handbook.
• Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training to develop knowledge and skill set.
