Job summary

RDO Equipment Co. invites students to join the Access Your Future Service Program in Montana as a paid internship. You’ll attend college while gaining hands-on experience servicing equipment at a sponsoring store, with supervision from a mentor and access to company-paid tools.

Requirements include enrollment in a qualifying Heavy Equipment Service or Diesel Technology program, maintaining a 3.0 GPA, and willingness to transition to full-time employment after graduation at an assigned location.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills required.
• Trade specific tooling including hand and pneumatic tools.
• Strong computer skills required.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Ability to perform maintenance functions on equipment.
• Excellent communication and written skills; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with mentor to diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment as assigned by the supervisor.
• Document machine information and repairs completed on work order, including parts and fluids used.
• Maintain a clean work area and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment.
• Follow safety rules and adhere to policies in the employee handbook.
• Present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co. in the presence of customers and community.
• Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training to develop knowledge and skills.
• Participate in all company/location driven communications efforts, including open book meetings and meetings.
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers and management.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
