Job Description

The Service Technician III plays a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting security systems to ensure optimal functionality and customer satisfaction within the Field Operations Department.

Responsibilities

1. Install, configure, and maintain security systems such as access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection.
2. Conduct system upgrades and modifications to meet client and industry standards.
3. Collaborate with project teams for successful security solution implementation.
4. Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
5. Perform diagnostics and utilize troubleshooting tools to assess system performance.
6. Provide remote and on-site support to clients, addressing concerns and maintaining systems.
7. Engage directly with clients to understand needs and provide training on system operation.
8. Maintain detailed documentation of all service activities.
9. Contribute to technical support knowledge bases and best practices.
10. Ensure all work complies with company and industry standards.
11. Participate in quality checks and improvement initiatives.
12. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant trade certifications preferred.
• At least 8+ years of experience in security system installation and maintenance, with projects valued at $100K minimum.
• Product-specific and industry certifications are helpful; valid driver’s license with a clean record is required.
• Basic network configuration, server, workstation, application, and OS support skills.
• Ability to perform site surveys, document details, and understand blueprints and wiring methods.
• Technical programming skills and strong mechanical/electrical aptitude.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to lift weights up to 100 pounds and use PPE as required.
• Experience in electrical, fire alarm, data cabling, or building automation industries is preferred.
• Knowledge of design drawings, PWS, and building codes.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and active driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds; accommodations available for disabilities.
• Security clearance may be required; sponsorship available.
• Ability to discern support needs and work independently.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $51K-$65K
