Motion Industries in California seeks a Service Technician to repair, service, and build hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems. Under general supervision, the Service Technician II may provide guidance to less experienced Service Technicians.

The role involves performing maintenance, disassembling, diagnosing, fabricating, and testing, with opportunities for customer interaction and quotes. Requires 3–5 years of shop experience and a HS diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of shop experience or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance on assigned customer products.
• Disassembles, cleans, and inspects system components for repair.
• Diagnoses system components and recommends a solution to the customer.
• Prepares job form listing parts and works necessary to perform the repair.
• Designs, fabricates, machines, and welds parts and components.
• Repairs hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems, and other related items.
• Assembles new and repaired equipment.
• Tests repaired equipment for performance and prepares for shipment or long-term storage.
• Assist customers by answering specific technical questions to help the customer understand the work to be done.
• Responds to customer inquiries regarding products, provides quotes, and handles order entry.
• Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business by relating to the customer and drive process improvements.
