Empire Truck Sales, LLC in Brookhaven, MS is seeking a Service Technician II to join our busy service department. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on medium- and heavy-duty trucks with limited supervision, using OEM diagnostic tools.

• Minimum 2+ years hands-on experience repairing automotive or diesel equipment.
• Experience with medium- or heavy-duty trucks is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine repairs on brake, suspension, steering, cooling, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Complete preventive maintenance services and inspections.
• Use diagnostic software to read fault codes and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Replace components such as starters, alternators, water pumps, and air system valves.
• Follow service procedures and wiring diagrams with limited supervision.
• Document work clearly on repair orders, including warranty work.

Empire Truck Sales is one of the largest Freightliner/Western Star dealerships in the Southeast, and we’re growing. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a Service Technician II who is a self-starter, a quick learner, and ready to take the next step in their career.

Put your diesel repair experience to work on medium- and heavy-duty trucks. Technician II is intended for mechanics who can complete routine mechanical repairs and basic troubleshooting with limited supervision while continuing to develop diagnostic skills.

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine repairs on brake, suspension, steering, cooling, HVAC, and electrical systems
• Complete preventive maintenance services and federal annual vehicle inspections efficiently and accurately
• Use diagnostic software such as Detroit DiagnosticLink and Cummins INSITE to read fault codes and perform basic troubleshooting
• Replace components such as starters, alternators, water pumps, air compressors, and air system valves
• Follow service procedures and wiring diagrams to complete repairs with limited supervision
• Document complaint, cause, and correction clearly on repair orders, including warranty work

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience repairing automotive, medium- or heavy-duty trucks or diesel equipment required; 3 or more years preferred
• Working knowledge of air brake systems, 12-volt electrical circuits, and wiring diagrams
• Ability to complete routine repairs and basic diagnostic work with limited supervision
• Experience with Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit, or Cummins products is a strong plus
• ASE Medium/Heavy Truck certifications, such as T4 Brakes or T6 Electrical/Electronic Systems, preferred; DTNA training valued
• Qualified to perform FMCSA annual vehicle inspections, or able to become qualified
• Standard professional diesel technician hand tools and rolling toolbox required
• Comfortable using a computer and OEM diagnostic software
• Valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required
• Class A CDL is a plus, but not required; willingness to obtain one preferred
• Ability to work assigned shifts as needed
• Willingness to travel
