Job summary

Reading Truck Group is seeking a Service Technician to perform service on auxiliary (after-market) mobile hydraulic equipment. The role involves repair, maintenance, welding and fabrication on customer equipment at the shop, plus diagnosing issues and developing repair procedures for warranty work.

Responsibilities include completing repairs, troubleshooting, and performing other duties as assigned, with potential for overnight travel as workload requires. Tools are the candidate’s own.

Qualifications

• Prior advanced electrical experience.
• Welding experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to travel overnight and/or work non-traditional schedules.

The Nuts and Bolts

• Complete repair, maintenance, welding and fabrication on returned customer equipment at shop as needed
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems
• Develop standardized repair procedures to be applied to duplicate warranty issues
• Other duties as assigned

Required Credentials

• Prior advanced electrical experience
• Welding experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to travel overnight and/or work non-traditional schedules as workload requires
• Must have his/her own tools
