Job summary

Andersen Corporation in the Capital region is seeking a Service Technician to perform repairs and maintenance on Renewal by Andersen products. This field-based role uses a company vehicle and may require a motor vehicle record check.

You will diagnose and repair installed windows and doors, handle customer interactions, coach fellow technicians, maintain orderly work areas, and apply advanced installation techniques to ensure Signature Service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and valid driver's license with clean driving record; 2 or more years window installation experience preferred.
• Basic construction techniques; good knowledge of basic construction and building materials.
• Demonstrated ability to confidently handle confrontation/conflicts using a tactful and diplomatic approach.
• Basic math skills, legible writing, basic personal computer skills in Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair previously installed RbA products.
• Analyzes and resolved complex/escalated customer situations, determines corrective action to be taken and verify the action has fixed the situation in a cost efficient and effective manner.
• Keep team members informed as needed of customer interactions and actions taken to resolve service issues.
• Coach, train and mentor Service Techs.
• Keep service area neat and organized; inventory service stock area of warehouse; request material replenishment as needed; provide details information to Service RSRs.
• Provide Signature Service to homeowners and peers.
• Advanced knowledge of RbA window and door installation techniques and ability to correct installation errors.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
