Job summary

Array Technologies seeks a Service Technician I for utility-scale solar projects. You’ll work with the Field Operations team to support retrofits, commissioning, and repowering while traveling up to 90% of the year.

You’ll need basic mechanical and electrical knowledge and strong communication to assist customers and teammates. Expect to learn Array's tracker portfolio, operate in a team setting, and perform field duties with safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Entry-level knowledge of mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support field retrofit, repower, and commissioning tasks.
  • Assist with service repairs and equipment checks.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are operational for field work.
  • Manage expense reporting in Concur.
  • Submit Field Service Reports for daily activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Service Technician I - Utility Scale Solar - Road Warriors Needed!


Job Summary

The Service Technician I will work closely with the Director of Field Operations, Commissioning & Warranty Manager, and other Service Technicians to ensure that the customer’s needs are satisfied appropriately and timely.The successful candidate must be willing to travel up to 90% of a given calendar year. As a Service Technician I, you must be willing and able to learn the intricacies of Array’s tracker portfolio, work in a team environment, and aid in retrofits, commissioning, and repowering efforts.


Key Job Responsibilities

Support field efforts on the following, but not limited to:



  • Retrofits

  • Repowering

  • Commissioning

  • Service Repairs

  • Ensure tools and equipment needed during a variety of field-related efforts are operating properly

  • Managing Concur’s expense reporting system

  • Submit Field Service Reports on daily activities

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications


  • Willingness for extensive, frequent travel – up to 90%

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License

  • Experience using basic hand tools

  • Basic math skills

  • Entry-level knowledge of mechanical systems

  • Entry-level knowledge of electrical systems

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Strong customer-facing presence

  • Dexterity required to perform manual labor in extreme temperatures


Preferred Qualifications


  • Utility-scale solar experience

  • Utility-scale construction knowledge

  • Entry-level Microsoft Office Suite experience

  • Entry-level Salesforce experience

  • Experience with Mechanical and Electrical tools

  • OSHA 10 or Higher – Preferred

  • NFPA 70E – Preferred


Physical Demands


  • Lifting requirements: 50lbs

  • Standing hours: 75%

  • Computer hours: 25%
