Job summary

Corvant is seeking a Service Technician I to perform installation, service, and maintenance on commercial HVAC systems. You will collaborate with an experienced technician to meet customer needs with integrity and quality service. Travel is required as necessary.

The role requires understanding HVAC components, the ability to diagnose faults, and perform preventive maintenance across diverse facilities. A high school diploma and EPA certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Understanding HVAC components and terminology.
• Experience with inspection, repair, and maintenance of HVAC equipment.
• Ability to perform maintenance independently.
• Experience w/ HVAC systems start-up/commissioning.
• Basic knowledge of entry-level HVAC concepts (electricity, air distribution, troubleshooting, soldering/brazing).
• High School Diploma or GED/Associate Degree or certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of service tools and testing devices.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior technician to install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of commercial equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
• Clean, adjust, and repair systems as needed.
• Provide high level customer service and integrity in addressing needs.
• Engage in NCCER Curriculum training and activities.

Job Description

The Service Technician I is responsible for completing installation, service and maintenance on various commercial HVAC systems. Working seamlessly with an experienced technician, while meeting our customers’ HVAC needs with Integrity.

This position requires travel as necessary.

Job Responsibilities

• Working seamlessly with senior technician.
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenances for a variety of commercial equipment.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
• Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems.
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Approaching every opportunity with a learning mindset.
• Provide high level customer service.
• Actively participate in NCCER Curriculum.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Understanding of HVAC components and terminology.

• Ability to follow and communicate instructions and directions both verbally and written.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma Required. Technical school preferred.
• EPA Certified
• Valid Drivers’ License//
• Minimum two years of HVAC experience required.

Physical requirements

• Required to stand, walk, and sit.
• Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
• Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.
• Reach with hand (s) and arm (s).
• Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
