Job summary

Corvant is seeking a Service Technician III to install, service, and maintain a range of commercial HVAC systems in mission-critical environments. The role requires hands-on experience with inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance, along with a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

You will diagnose mechanical faults, perform startups/commissioning, and ensure systems operate to code. A high school diploma and EPA certification are required, plus OSHA 10 if possible.

Qualifications

  • HVAC knowledge including components and terminology.
  • Experience with inspection, repair, and maintenance of HVAC equipment.
  • Knowledge of HVAC startup/commissioning processes.
  • Understanding of leak detection, evacuation, and charging basics.
  • Familiarity with building codes and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on commercial equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
  • Clean, adjust, and repair HVAC systems as needed.
  • Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
  • Approach each task with a learning mindset and provide high-level customer service.
  • Actively participate in NCCER Curriculum and related trainings.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with air duct distribution systems in commercial/industrial settings.
  • Follow building codes and regulations for installation and maintenance.

Job Description

The Service Technician III is responsible for completing installation, service, and maintenance on various commercial HVAC systems. Must have experience with inspection, repair, and maintenance of HVAC equipment.

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenances for a variety of commercial equipment.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
  • Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems.
  • Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
  • Approaching every opportunity with a learning mindset.
  • Provide high level customer service.
  • Actively participate in NCCER Curriculum.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency and knowledge of air duct distribution systems, commercial and industrial.
  • Know relevant building codes, current legislation, regulations, policies and procedures for the installation and maintenance of systems.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Ability to follow and communicate instructions and directions both verbally and written.
  • Mastery of HVAC components and terminology.
  • Experience with inspection, repair, and maintenance of HVAC equipment
  • Experience w/ HVAC systems start-up/commissioning
  • Working knowledge of HVAC concepts related to leak detection, evacuation, recovery, charging, heath pumps and air quality systems,
  • Working knowledge of service tools and testing devices
  • Ability to follow and communicate instructions and directions both verbally and written.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma Required. Technical school preferred.
  • OSHA 10 Preferred
  • EPA Certified
  • Valid Drivers’ License
  • Minimum 10 plus years of HVAC experience required.
Physical requirements
  • Required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
  • Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.
  • Reach with hand (s) and arm (s).
  • Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Drive.
