Job summary

Veolia is seeking an Asset Care Service Technician to install and service water purification systems at customer sites, delivering, setting up and exchanging ion exchange tanks for commercial and industrial applications.

You will drive to sites, manage inventory, perform tests (TDS, pH, CO2, Cl2, hardness), and maintain equipment while upholding safety policies and building strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Possess a valid driver's license & clean driving record history.
• Associate’s Degree in electrical, industrial / mechanical, engineering, or water treatment (preferred).
• College coursework in chemistry (preferred).
• Experience driving company vehicles such as panel vans or service trucks (preferred).
• Forklift certification/experience or ability to obtain forklift certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Drive to customer sites to deliver ion exchange tanks and water treatment equipment.
• Load and secure equipment, maintain inventory on board trucks, and ensure quality specs.
• Complete pre-trip Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Keep accurate inventory records and communicate changes through proper channels.
• Take water samples and conduct tests (TDS, resistivity, pH, CO2, Cl2, hardness) and record results.
• Rinse ion exchange tanks to customer specifications and ensure quality requirements are met.
• Perform dry and wet ion exchange tank exchanges.
• Maintain equipment through basic electrical/mechanical maintenance (PVC repair, pump/motor work).
• Maintain good housekeeping of vehicles and customer sites.
• Follow WTS and customer EHS policies; communicate with customers effectively.

Job Summary:

The Asset Care Service Technician will install and service water purification systems at customer sites. In this role, you will deliver, set up and exchange ion exchange tanks to customers in commercial and industrial applications.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Drive truck to deliver ion exchange tanks and water treatment equipment to customer sites.
• Ensure that correct equipment required for the daily route is loaded, secured and meets quality specs. Load and unload tanks on trucks and maintain correct inventory on board trucks as required.
• Completes Vehicle Inspection Reports for pre-trip inspection.
• Keep accurate accountability of inventory at each site and make changes as needed. Communicates changes thru the proper channels and follows up to ensure that changes have been made.
• Takes water samples and conducts the following tests including but not limited to TDS, resistivity, pH, CO 2 , Cl 2 , and hardness. Accurately record results and make suggestions or changes as required.
• Rinses ion exchange tanks to customer specifications at customer sites and ensures quality specifications are met.
• Performs both dry and wet ion exchange tank exchanges.
• Performs maintenance on equipment to include PVC repair, and minor pump and motor repairs.
• Maintains good housekeeping at all times, which includes the vehicles and customer sites.
• Follows WTS and customer EHS policies and rules.
• Maintains contact with customers on site, communicating effectively, politely, and responding to their needs. Maintains good customer relationships.
• Assist with equipment or product delivery outside normal scope when needed due to business levels.
• May be required to be on call during non-business hours.

Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesPreferred:

• Knowledge of commercial &industrial membrane systems & UV systems.
• Knowledge of PLC logic/programing.
• Knowledge of ion exchange & membrane theory &operation, as well as pretreatment applications.
• Vocational training in applicable fields such as electrical, industrial/mechanical

Education & ExperienceRequired:

• HS Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Possess a valid driver's license &clean driving record history

Preferred:

• Associate’s Degree in electrical, industrial / mechanical, engineering, or water treatment disciplines
• College coursework in chemistry
• Experience driving company vehicles such as panel vans or service trucks
• Forklift certification/experience or ability to obtain forklift certification.

Working Conditions:

• Ability &willingness to handle repetitive weight - 50 lbs
• Ability &willingness to work in all weather conditions
• Ability &willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, &power industry facilities
