Job summary

Veolia is hiring an Asset Care Service Technician to install and service water purification systems at customer sites. You will deliver, set up, and exchange ion exchange tanks for commercial and industrial applications, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

The role requires handling up to 50lbs, driving company vehicles, and maintaining on-site inventory while following EHS policies. On-call work may be required, with opportunities for career development within Veolia's Water Tech

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Vocational training in electrical/industrial/mechanical fields.
• College coursework in chemistry is preferred.
• Associate's Degree in electrical/industrial/mechanical or water treatment disciplines.
• Experience driving company vehicles such as panel vans or service trucks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ion exchange tanks and water treatment equipment to customer sites.
• Load/unload tanks and maintain inventory on board trucks.
• Record results of water tests (TOS, resistivity, pH, hardness).
• Rinse ion exchange tanks to customer specifications and ensure quality.
• Perform maintenance on equipment including PVC repairs and minor pump/motor work.

Job description

Job Summary

The Asset Care Service Technician will install and service water purification systems at customer sites. In this role, you will deliver, set up, and exchange ion exchange tanks to customers in commercial and industrial applications.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Drive truck to deliver ion exchange tanks and water treatment equipment to customer sites
• Ensure that the correct daily equipment is loaded, secured, and meets quality specs
• Load and unload tanks on trucks and maintain correct inventory on board trucks as required
• Complete Vehicle Inspection Reports for pre-trip inspection
• Keepaccurate accountability of inventory at each site and makechanges as needed
• Communicatechanges through the proper channels and followup to ensure that changes have been made
• Takewater samples and conductthe following tests, including but not limited to TOS, resistivity, pH, C021 Cl21 and hardness
• Accurately record results and makesuggestions or changes as required
• Rinseion exchange tanks to customer specifications at customer sites and ensurequality specifications are met
• Performboth dry and wet ion exchange tank exchanges
• Performmaintenance on equipment to include PVC repairand minor pump and motor repairs
• Maintaingood housekeeping at all times
• FollowWater Techand customer EHS policies and rules
• Maintaincontact with customers on site, communicating effectively, politely, and responding to their needs
• Maintaingood customer relationships
• Assistwith equipment or product delivery outside normal scope when needed
• May be required to be on call during non-business hours

• Ability & willingness to handle repetitive weight up to 50lbs
• Ability & willingness to work in all weather conditions
• Ability & willingness to work in a range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, & power industry facilities

Education & Experience

Required

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Possess a valid driver's license & clean driving record history

Preferred

• Vocational training in applicable fields such as electrical, industrial/mechanical
• College coursework in chemistry
• Associate's Degree in electrical, industrial/mechanical, engineering, or water treatment disciplines
• Experience driving company vehicles such as panel vans or service trucks
• Forklift certification/experience or ability to obtain forklift certification
