Job summary

Polygon US Corp is seeking a Service Technician to install, repair, and operate climate control equipment at customer sites. You will work under supervision with a focus on safety and reliability, supporting Polygon’s Temporary Climate Solutions and Emergency Drying Services.

The role requires foreseeing travel on short notice (1–3 weeks), overtime when needed, and completing mandatory safety trainings within six months of employment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of technical school or two years on the job experience in a related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and basic mechanical skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, maintain, and demobilize temporary climate control equipment on project sites.
  • While not on projects, use downtime to maintain and prepare equipment for upcoming projects.
  • Complete Polygon Provided Training Requirements within the first 6 months, including OSHA 10, DOT, forklift and aerial lift certifications, and safety courses.

Job description

Under the direction of the assigned supervisor, theService Technicianis responsible for install, repair, and operation of equipment in support of the services Polygon US provides to its customers while demonstrating Polygon’s values ofIntegrity,ExcellenceandEmpathy. Services that are provided by Polygon include but are not limited to Temporary Climate Solutions and Emergency Drying Services.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Set up, maintain, and demobilize temporary climate control equipment on project sites
  • While not working on assigned projects, utilize down time to maintain, and prepare equipment for upcoming projects
  • Completion of Polygon Provided Training Requirements within the first 6 months of employment including:
    • OSHA 10-hour training for general industry
    • DOT physical and certification
    • Fork-lift and aerial lift certification
    • GHS Understanding safety data sheets
    • Hazard communication for general industry
    • Trailer load securement and safety
    • Electrical safety courses as follows:
      • Electrical Safe Work Practices
      • Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout Tag out)
      • Arc Flash
      • Basic psychometrics
Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum two years of technical school or two years on the job experience in a related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and basic mechanical skills. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to perform duties that are physical in nature.
  • Willingness to work overtime as and when needed and to travel on short notice, sometimes for extended duration (typically 1-3 weeks).
